Indian equity market ended on a negative bias, the benchmark broad based Index Nifty ended the week at 8083.80 with a loss by 6.66% i.e. 576.45 points and BSE Sensex closed the week with a loss by 7.46% i.e. 2224.64 points at 27590.95. 

Nifty Index opened the week with a gap down near 8385 and moved up till 8678 but unable to move above 8680, the sell-off dragged the Nifty Index till 8055.80 on Friday and closed the week at 8083.80 with weekly loss.

Nifty Bank Index also opened the week at 19254 and made a high 19716 then, the weakness dragged down till 17143.30 on Friday and closed the week with moderate weekly loss by 11.90% i.e 2330.80 points at 17249.30.

The Indices were closed with a weekly loss are Nifty IT lost 3.04%, Nifty Auto lost 3.00, Nifty Metal lost 1.97% whereas the  Nifty Pharma gained by 4.77, Nifty FMCG gianed 0.68  and Nifty Realty closed with marginal loss by 0.03%..
