Indian equity market ended on a positive note, the benchmark broad based Index Nifty ended the week at 11214.05 with a gain by 1.27% i.e., 140.60 points and BSE Sensex closed the week with a gain by 1.15 % .i.e., 433.68 points at 38040.57. 

Nifty Index opened the week on a negative note with gap down at 11057.55, thereafer, it moved down till 10882.25 further, a upmove lifted the Index till 11256.80 and closed the week at 11214.05 with a gain by 1.27%.

Nifty Bank Index also opened the week on a negative note with gap down at 21534.80 and made a low 21057.15, thereafter, it  moved up and tested 21926.55 and closed the week with margin gain by 0.53% i.e., 113.95 points at 21754.

Last week, the sectoral Indices were closed with a gain are: Nifty Metal lead the gain by 7.78%, Nifty Auto gained 3.77%, Nifty FMCG gained 2%, Nifty pharma gained 1.65%, Nifty Realty gained 1.47%, Nifty Energy gained 1.23% and Nifty IT Index alone closed the week by negative and lost marginally by 0.37%.
