Indian equity market ended on a positive note, the benchmark broad based Index Nifty ended the week at 10768.05 with a gain by 1.51 i.e., 160.70 points and BSE Sensex closed the week with a gain by 1.59%.i.e., 572.91 points at 36594.33. 

Nifty Index opened the week with a gap up at 10723.85, thereafer, it moved till 10847.85 further, a mild profit booking dragged the Index til 10676.55, once again it moved up till 10839 and closed the week at 10768.05 with a gain by 1.51%..

Nifty Bank Index also opened the week with a gap up at 22270.95, thereafter, it moved up till 23080.60, further it witnessed a sell-off till 22320.05 on Friday and closed the week with a weekly gain by 2.50% i.e. 546.05 points at 22398.45.

All the Sectoral Indices were closed with a gain this week, lead by the Nifty Metal gained 3.47%, Nifty IT gained 1.83%, Nifty Realty gained 1.48%, Nifty Pharma gained 1.09%, Nifty Auto gained 1.00% and Nifty FMCG marginally gained by 0.96%.
