Indian equity market ended on a negative note, the benchmark broad based Index Nifty ended the week at 11178.40 with a loss by 0.32% i.e., 35.65 points and BSE Sensex closed the week with a loss by 0.43% .i.e., 163.23 points at 37877.34. 

Nifty Index opened the week on a flat to positive note at 11270.25, thereafter, it moved up till 11373.60 further, it was consolidating between 11350-11240 till Thursday and witnessed a sell-off till 11111.45 on Friday and closed the week at 11179.40 with a flat to negative note by 0.32%.

Nifty Bank Index also opened the week on a positive note with gap up at 21824.90 thereafter, it moved up and tested 22439.95 and closed the week with a loss by 0.34% i.e., 74.60 points at 21679.40.

Last week, the sectoral Indices were closed with a gain are: Nifty Metal lead the gain by 3.95%, Nifty Pharma gained 2.71%, Nifty Auto gained 1.63%, Nifty Realty gained 1.54% and Nifty IT ended the week with marginal gain by 0.10%, On the other hand, the Nifty FMCG closed the week with a loss by 0.80% and Nifty Energy Index lost marginally by 0.67%.
