Indian equity market ended on a positive note, the benchmark broad based Index Nifty ended the week at 10901.70 with a gain by 1.24 i.e., 133.65 points and BSE Sensex closed the week with a gain by 1.16 % .i.e., 425.81 points at 37020.14. 

Nifty Index opened the week with a gap up at 10851.85, thereafer, it moved till 10894.05 further, a strong sell-off cum profit booking dragged the Index til 10562.90, once again it moved up and tested 10933.45 on Friday and closed the week at 10901.70 with a gain by 1.24%.

Nifty Bank Index also opened the week with a gap up at 22613.25 and made a week high at 22657.40, thereafter, it moved down till 21027.85, further it moved till 22065 on Friday and closed the week with a weekly loss by 1.93% i.e. 431.65 points at 21966.80.

Almost all the sectoral Indices were closed with a gain this week except Nifty Realty. The Indices were closed by weekly gains are: Nifty IT gained 8.07%, Nifty Pharma gained 3.97%, Nifty FMCG gained 2.01%, Nifty Auto gained 1.37% and Nifty Metal gained 1.19%. Nifty Realty closed with a weekly loss by 4.71%.
