Indian equity market ended on a positive note, the benchmark broad based Index Nifty ended the week at 11371.60 with a gain by 1.73% i.e., 193.20 points and BSE Sensex closed the week with a gain by 1.47% .i.e., 557.38 points at 38434.72. 

Nifty Index opened the week on a positive note with gap up at at 11248.90, thereafter, it moved up till 11460.35 further, the profit booking dragged till 11289.40 and closed the week at 11371.60 with a positive note by 1.73%.

Nifty Bank Index also opened the week on a positive note with gap up at 21909.40 thereafter, it moved up and tested 22419.35 and closed the week with a gain by 2.86% i.e., 620.20 points at 22299.60.

Last week, the sectoral Indices were closed with a gain are: Nifty Realty lead the gain by 8.18%, Nifty Metal gained 4.90%, Nifty Energy gained 4.48%, Nifty Auto gained 3.35%, Nifty FMCG gained 1.17% and Nifty IT ended the week with marginal gain by 0.24%. On the other hand, the Nifty Pharma closed the week with a marginal loss by -0.22%.
