Indian equity market ended on a positive note, the benchmark broad based Index Nifty ended the week at 10383 with a gain by 1.35% i.e. 138.60 points and BSE Sensex closed the week with a gain by 1.27%.i.e. 439.54 points at 35171.27. 

Nifty Index opened the week with a gap up 10318.75, thereafer, moved up till mid-week and tested the important hurdle till 10550, made a high 105553.15, further a sell-off dragged till 10194.50 and closed the week at 10383 with a gain by 1.35%..

Nifty Bank Index also opened the week with a gap up at 21491.55, made a weekly high at 22479.55 thereafter, it  moved down till 20926.45 and closed the week with a weekly gain by 1.19% i.e. 253.95 points at 21592.05.

Almost all the Sectoral Indices were closed with a weekly gain except Nifty Realty. The Nifty FMCG made good amount of gain by 3.65%, followed up by Nifty IT gained by 3.41%, Nifty Metal gained by 2.29, Nifty Auto gained by 1.46%, Nifty Pharma gained by 1.36% and Nifty Realty alone closed with a weekly loss by 0.82%.
