Indian equity market ended on a negative note, the benchmark broad based Index Nifty ended the week at 11073.45 with a loss by 1.08% i.e., 120.70 points and BSE Sensex closed the week with a loss by 1.37 % .i.e., 522.01 points at 37606.89. 

Nifty Index opened the week with a positive note with a mild gap up at 11225, thereafer, it moved till 11341.40 further, a techincal sell-off dragged the Index till 11026.65 and closed the week at 11073.45 with a loss by 1.08%.

Nifty Bank Index opened the week with a flat note at 22664.60 and made a week high at 22668.05, thereafter, the weakness cum sell-off dragged down till 21375 and closed the week with a weekly loss by 4.51% i.e., 1022 points at 21640.05.

Last week, the sectoral Indices were closed with a gain are: Nifty pharma gained 8.90%, Nifty IT gained 4.55%, Nifty metal gained 2.86%,and Nifty Realty gained 1.31% and Nifty Auto marginally gained by 0.85%. At the same time the Nifty FMCG closed with negative note and lost marginally by 0.47%.
